Over the weekend, more than 300 people participated in the American Lung Association in Georgia’s Fight For Air Climb at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The event raised more than $100,000 to fund the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung disease and support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative.

During the event, participants climbed more than 2,600 stairs throughout Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The organization also offered a “Climb Your Way” option for those who could not make it to the physical event.

“Once again, this event proved to be as moving as it was rewarding for all who participated, young and old alike," Calle Wallace, Development Manager for the Lung Association. “The Quick Dress Firefighter Competition was a highlight again this year, during which firefighters raced to dress in their gear with top finishing times ranging between 20-25 seconds. Thank you to all our participants, volunteers, and sponsors who came together to make a difference in the lives of people facing lung disease, lung cancer, and COVID-19.”
