This Restaurant Named 'Most Iconic Diner' In GA By Business Insider

A Georgia staple was included among Business Insider's recent list of iconic diners in each state.

According to the list, The Most Iconic Diner In Every State, chrome stools and menus filled with classic comfort foods have made diners quintessentially American.

"From decades-old landmarks to no-frills lunch counters that have quietly become cultural icons in their respective towns, these are the most iconic diners in every state," Business Insider reported.

In Georgia, the most legendary diner is The Dwarf House in Hapeville.

"The Dwarf House holds a special place in fast-food history as the original Chick-fil-A restaurant. The quirky, low-ceilinged spot draws visitors for its familiar Chick-fil-A menu items, exclusive Dwarf House items, table service and its role as the birthplace of the nationwide chain," Business Insider wrote.

Customers who dine at The Dwarf House can partake in specialty dishes not found at other local Chick-fil-A restaurants. These menu items are dubbed "Truett's Exclusives" after founder Truett Cathy.

They include traditional bone-in wings, coleslaw, banana pudding, chicken salad, a brown butter marshmallow bar, fudge brownie sundae, sweet potato souffle, okra, crispy sprouts and cornbread. An assortment of pies are also available.

"Serving freshly prepared food crafted with quality ingredients every day of the week (except Sunday, of course). ... If you’re looking for great food nearby, it’s our pleasure to serve you," a company biography stated.

Hours of operation: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed Sunday.
