Russell Promotes Yasmine Murray to EVP and General Counsel

H.J. Russell & Company (Russell) announces the promotion of Yasmine Murray, a member of its senior leadership team, from General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to Executive Vice President and General Counsel. In her new role as EVP, Murray will be a key resource for CEO Michael Russell, ensuring the company’s vision and goals are successfully executed, working directly with the operations and corporate team. She will continue to carry out the duties of the Corporate Secretary, as well as the General Counsel where she is responsible for all of the company’s legal functions including corporate transactions and partnerships, regulatory compliance, litigation, dispute resolution, risk management and mitigation, employment, real estate development, property management, and acquisitions.

In her previous roles, Murray served as General Counsel and as a paralegal in Russell’s legal department. Prior to that, upon receiving her Juris Doctor, she returned to the firm as a staff attorney. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, Atlanta Business League, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Minority Corporate Counsel Association, National Association of Professional Women, State Bar of Georgia, and the Urban Land Institute.

Originally from St. Lucia, Murray graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies, with a concentration in Business Administration, from Bay Path University and then went on to achieve her Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Georgia, School of Law.
