'Saturday Night Live' Gets Donald Glover Double-Dose
The Stone Mountain native and creator of "Atlanta" on FX will host and be musical guest as his hip-hop alter ego, Childish Gambino.

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta's own Donald Glover will be a double-dip star on "Saturday Night Live" next month, both hosting the show and performing as its musical guest under his hip-hop identity, Childish Gambino. Glover will appear on the May 5 episode, the show announced late Saturday.
Glover, 34, is currently taking the entertainment industry by storm with FX's "Atlanta," winning an Emmy and a Golden Globe for the quirky take on the city's hip-hop world, and so much more, which he writes and stars in.
First introduced nationally with his role as Troy on NBC's "Community," Glover's movie credits include "Magic Mike XXL" and "Spiderman: Homecoming." He has been cast as a young Lando Calrissian in the upcoming "Solo: A Star Wars Story" and as the voice of Simba in an upcoming "The Lion King" remake.
