Search Is On For Two Violent Rape Suspects In SW Atlanta

A woman was violently attacked last week in a wooded area next to the Ashley Cascade apartment complex in SW Atlanta.

ATLANTA - A woman was violently attacked outside the Ashley Cascade Apartments last week in SW Atlanta, and police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects. The attack happened in a wooded area last week next to the apartment complex on Kimberly Drive.

According to the police report, the woman was attacked on Sept. 19, 2018, while she was riding in the front seat of a gray Ford F-150. A man in the back seat put a stun gun to her neck. Then the driver of the truck pulled over and both men took the woman into the wooded area, where she was then choked until she passed out. The men then raped the victim and took her clothes, phone, ID and $400 in cash.

The victim was able to flag down help, and then called police. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Police do not have any descriptions of the suspects other than the truck's make and model. There are no details yet as to how the woman came to be in the vehicle.
