Sisters Charged With Murder In 3-Year-Old Boy's Death
Atlanta police say an autopsy conducted on Kejuan Mason reveals he died from blunt force trauma.

ATLANTA, GA -- Two sisters have been charged in connection to the death of a three-year-old boy last weekend in southwest Atlanta. LaShirley Morris, 27, and Glenndria Morris, 25, have both been booked into the Fulton County Jail on one count each of murder, Atlanta police said Thursday.
According to an incident report released by the agency, officers were dispatched around 3:51 p.m. Oct. 21 to an apartment unit in the 500 block of Cleveland Avenue. They arrived to find EMS personnel performing CPR on Kejuan Mason, 3.
Officers spoke with Glenndria Morris, identified in the report as the caretaker, who said the boy choked on a cupcake given to him. However, the incident report states Morris later said the child recovered and later took a nap. When they went to check on Kejuan, he was not breathing or was responsive, so they called 9-1-1.

The officer said he asked Glenndria Morris if she had a name and phone number for Kejuan's mother, but said she and her sister "did not want to cooperate."

The boy was transported to Atlanta Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The officer also made note that a paramedic who assisted in CPR said it appeared that Kejuan had not been breathing for a while.
"From what I observed, the house was infested with roaches," the officer added.
The Atlanta Police Department said an autopsy conducted on Kejuan determined he died from blunt force trauma, so investigators "developed probable cause" to arrest and charge the two sisters.
Both women remain held at the Fulton County Jail without bond. It was not made immediately available how the sisters were connected to Kejuan.
