Slain Teen's Car Found in Stone Mountain

The body of Bridget Shiel, 19, was found early Tuesday morning in a downtown Atlanta public park.

ATLANTA, GA -- Police say they have found the car belonging to a teenager who was found dead early Tuesday morning.

The body of Bridget Shiel, 19, was found early Tuesday morning. Police found the body around 7 am while investigating an injured-persons call. Shiel was found near the park's basketball court.

On Wednesday morning, police located Shiel's car behind a Stone Mountain strip shopping center called Crowe's Crossing, according to 11Alive.

Atlanta police Maj. Adam Lee said police don't believe Shiel was assaulted at the location where her body was found.

"We are trying to identify where she lives, where she may have worked, her lifestyle, criminal history — anything that might lead us to identifying why she ended up in Oakland City Park,” Lee said during a Tuesday news conference.

He also said police have no leads in the case. Investigators are looking into Shiel's background and are interviewing friends and family members.
