Slight Edge for Trump Among Georgia Voters in Presidential Poll: Report

Results from high-profile survey show tight race as Election Day looms.

ATLANTA, GA — A few days before Election Day, Donald Trump holds a razor-thin lead over Hillary Clinton among Georgia voters in the race for president, in poll figures released Friday by two major news organizations

The latest results from the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll show Trump, the Republican Party's nominee for the White House, with a 1 point lead over Clinton, the Democratic nominee, among the likely voters in Georgia. Trump holds 45 percent of the vote and Clinton has 44 percent, the Marist Poll announced.

Eight percent of Georgia voters support Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party's candidate for president, the poll says. Green Party candidate Jill Stein has write-in status in Georgia.

The voters surveyed by the NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist Poll include those who are undecided yet leaning toward a candidate, or who have already voted.
