ATLANTA, GA — Small Business Saturday is taking place nationally on Saturday, Nov. 30. Businesses in Atlanta are participating in the annual initiative to encourage more consumers to shop small. American Express established Small Business Saturday in 2010.

Independent-owned small businesses offer sales and unique gifts for shoppers who are ready to start their holiday shopping early. According to American Express:
