Storms To Soon Pour Into Metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta residents are expected to experience a sunny Saturday afternoon and a rainy Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service's latest forecast.

Then, the rainfall could continue through Tuesday, forecasters say. The most significant probability for rain is Sunday night when chances are 50 percent.

Highs Saturday could be near 82 degrees; however, the temperature is anticipated to drop once possible showers and thunderstorms move into the area.

This Afternoon: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. East wind around 10 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. East wind around 5 mph.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 82. Southeast wind 5-10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m., then a chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
