Storms To Soon Pour Into Metro Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA — Metro Atlanta residents are expected to experience a sunny Saturday afternoon and a rainy Saturday night, according to the National Weather Service's latest forecast.

Then, the rainfall could continue through Tuesday, forecasters say. The most significant probability for rain is Sunday night when chances are 50 percent.

Highs Saturday could be near 82 degrees; however, the temperature is anticipated to drop once possible showers and thunderstorms move into the area.

Temperatures could live in the 80s for the next several days, according to the weather service's forecast.

AccuWeather predicted humidity and real feel temperatures in the 90s. Forecasters say the storms Tuesday night could be strong.

As of 3 p.m. Friday, the National Weather Service predicted the following forecast for metro Atlanta:

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 a.m., then a chance of showers between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.
