Strip Club DJ Hires His Best Friend To Murder His Wife
Andre Pugh was convicted of hiring another man to kill his wife, a shooting that happened in front of the couple's two-year-old child.

ATLANTA, GA -- A deejay at an Atlanta strip club has been convicted of hiring his best friend to murder his wife over fears of a possible divorce. Andre Pugh, 38, was convicted of murder Friday by a Fulton County Superior Court jury. The jury found Pugh hired Adriane Harley to murder Tiffany Jackson Pugh, 30, a crime that took place in front of the couple's two-year-old child.
On Nov. 23, 2014, just after 6 am, Pugh called 911 from the driveway of his home. He told the 911 operator that his wife and children were inside the home, and he believed his wife had been murdered, despite the fact he had not seen her body. East Point police found Tiffany Jackson Pugh lying in a bed in a guest room, dead from gunshot wounds to the eye and chest. Her two-year-old child was lying on top of his mother’s body, crying and begging her to wake up. The East Point Police Officer overhead the child say, “Mommy, no mommy, please!”
Police identified Pugh and Harley as suspects. Google GPS and cell phone records placed Harley at the scene at the time of the murder. Phone records showed Harley and Pugh exchanged text messages and spoke on the phone before meeting in downtown Atlanta 30 minutes prior to the murder. Pugh was only minutes from the scene when the murder occurred.

Pugh and Harley were arrested on December 5, 2014, at the Atlanta strip club where Pugh worked as a DJ. Harley was the best man at Pugh’s wedding, and Pugh chose Harley to serve as a pallbearer at the young mother’s funeral.
Evidence at trial revealed Pugh continuously cheated on his wife with prostitutes and other women he met online. Pugh was also embroiled in financial turmoil due to poor credit and a pending foreclosure of a previous home he owned. Pugh and his wife purchased a new home during their marriage, a home that Pugh stood to lose if his wife went through with plans to divorce him. The foreclosure of the old home and the divorce would have ultimately left Pugh homeless.

Evidence showed Pugh did not want to lose his home due to a pending divorce, so he repeatedly begged his wife to allow him to stay in their home while professing his love and loyalty. Pugh’s financial issues proved to be the motive in this case.
Pugh then hired Harley to murder his wife. Harley will be tried at a later date.
