SWAT Standoff Active In Atlanta, Police Say
Residents are asked to avoid an Atlanta area while officers respond to a suspected barricaded gunman.
ATLANTA, GA — Officers are asking residents to steer clear of Cameron M. Alexander Boulevard after an armed person call turned into a barricaded gunman incident Tuesday, Atlanta Police Lt. Anthony Grant said.
He did not provide specific details but said the investigation was active shortly before 3 p.m. No one had been injured at that time, and SWAT was present at the scene, he said.
The area is near Sunset Avenue Northwest.
