Teen Volunteer of the Year Award Recognizes Bailey Diamond

Bailey Diamond, a Junior at North Atlanta High School and A Girl Scout Gold Awardee Receives 3rd Place As Volunteer of The Year

North Atlanta High School Junior, Bailey Diamond learned early on in life the value of service to all humankind and the ripple effect even small acts may make around the world.

Last fall, Bailey earned her Girl Scout Gold Award, for her Edgy Veggie Project. Earning this award is the highest recognition a Girl Scout can accomplish. Her project incorporated workshops around Buckhead for kids, teens, and adults educating them about healthy eating and body image.

Through fundraising, Bailey was able to distribute printed reusable canvas bags to encourage
environmental sustainability among her workshop attendees. She created a Clean Eating Club at North Atlanta High School. Combined with the thoughtfulness of her Instagram campaign, she is proud to see that she has made an impact across the nation.

In addition to her efforts to educate and instill new ways of healthy living, Bailey also volunteers as a talent coach at Sutton Middle School's Showcase talent show each spring, giving back to others who love performing arts. Among her many talents, Bailey enjoys playing her guitar and singing at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market whenever the opportunity will allow. She is active at NAHS in the Environmental Club, National Art Honors Society, and North Star talent show, among other things. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in the fine arts or environment.
