Thunderstorm Threat Settles In: Weekend Weather in Georgia
The Georgia weather forecast this weekend has the bad weather taking a short break before returning to the forecast into next week.

Over the weekend, our best bet for showers and thunderstorms will likely be late Saturday through Sunday, says the weather service.
"A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible," according to the NWS statement. "However, there remains uncertainty concerning the strength and timing of these systems."

The weather service encourages residents to continue to monitor weather reports for any potential changes.
Here's the latest regional forecast from the National Weather Service:
- Friday: Patchy fog between 9am and 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 86. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
- Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
- Sunday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 79. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
- Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 78.
