ATLANTA, GA — Newly released body camera footage shows the moments Atlanta officers rescue a woman's 1-year-old child they say was taken by her ex-boyfriend.
Atlanta Police on Friday say they were called to Scott Street Southwest around 10:45 a.m., Jan. 30, after a woman her ex-boyfriend broke into her home through a kitchen window.
The woman left the home to call 911, and the man left the home on foot with her child, police said.

In the 3-minute video, which includes the 911 call, a woman is seemingly heard telling 911 operators, "I ran to my neighbor's house. My kids (are) still in the house. I'm so scared to go over there and get them. Can you please help me?"
The woman appears to tell operators though the man has keys to her home, he broke into it.

The woman then appears to tell officers she and the child were in a bedroom at the time of the incident. The man had been calling her repeatedly, but she did not speak to him beforehand, the woman said.
When he arrived to the home, the woman said he went to a neighbor's house and instructed they tell her to "come outside." She was hiding in a closet, she said.
According to police, officers immediately canvassed the area and conducted a search. The child was soon found and safely returned to the mother, police said.
Body camera footage appears to show officers chasing a man and arresting him in a wood line. Police identified the man as Abe Harold, 31.
Harold was arrested on charges of kidnapping, second-degree damage to property and second-degree cruelty to children, police said. He was taken to the Fulton County Jail, where he has since remained, jail records showed Friday.
