Trout in the Classroom

Local school releases trout in the Chattahoochee

Students from the Tapestry Public Charter School in Doraville and members of the Upper Chattahoochee Chapter or Trout Unlimited recently participate in a Trout in the Classroom release into the Chattahoochee River. Trout in the Classroom is an environmental education program in which students learn the value of environmental conservation and the importance of healthy aquatic life. During the year each teacher tailors the program to fit his or her curricular needs. TIC has interdisciplinary applications in science, social studies, mathematics, language arts, fine arts and physical education
