Trump Appeal Hearing To Remove GA D.A. Set Ahead Of Nov. 5 Election
A GA court is set to hear arguments in an effort to pull DA Fani Willis from an election subversion case against Donald Trump, per a report.

ATLANTA, GA — An appeal to remove Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis from the controversial election subversion case against former President Donald Trump will be heard in October, per CNN.
The Georgia Court of Appeals will tentatively hear oral arguments on Oct. 4, weeks ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, CNN reported. Judges Todd Markle, Trenton Brown and Benjamin Land will consider the appeal, the outlet reported.
Trump, a Republican, has been accused of trying to interfere with the 2020 presidential election, during which he lost the race to current Democratic President Joe Biden. Trump and 18 others were indicted on several charges in August 2023 after being accused of trying to overturn the election results in Georgia.

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee determined in March that top prosecutor Nathan Wade or Willis and her office should leave the case due to the appearance of impropriety relating to the pair's romantic relationship.
The judge said there was no "actual conflict" due to their relationship, which would have disqualified Willis. Wade ultimately resigned from the case.
