Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Accuses Fulton DA Of 'Criminal Misconduct'

The news comes amid Fani Willis' alleged relationship with a top prosecutor she hired in the case against former President Donald Trump.

ATLANTA — U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a complaint against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, accusing Willis of criminal misconduct in the Georgia case against former President Donald Trump.

The complaint was sent Wednesday to Gov. Brian Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr, Greene said Thursday on X, formerly Twitter.

The news comes amid Willis' suspected relationship with Nathan Wade, a top prosecutor she reportedly hired in Trump's racketeering and election interference case.

Greene asked for an "immediate criminal investigation," she tweeted. In the complaint, she said the alleged relationship between Willis and Wade is an "obviously illegal conflict of interest."

Willis was subpoenaed to appear at a deposition in Wade's divorce proceedings, CNN reported. Both Willis and Wade declined to comment to the outlet on the subpoena.

Trump and 18 others were indicted in August 2023 and accused of trying to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Georgia.

The former president was charged on suspicion of violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer, conspiracy to commit impersonating a public officer, two counts of first-degree conspiracy to commit forgery, two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings, conspiracy to commit filing false documents, filing false documents and false statements and writings.

He surrendered Aug. 24 to the Fulton County Jail and was released on a pre-arranged $200,000 bond.
