WARRIORS TO THE WORKFORCE BRINGS JOB OPPORTUNITIES AND CAREER WORKSHOPS TO ATLANTA'S MILITARY VETERANS

American Freedom Foundation Sponsors April 29 - 30 Hiring Event at Georgia World Congress Center

ATLANTA (March 22, 2016) --As part of a nationwide initiative to help military veterans find jobs, the American Freedom Foundation travels the country with a special program called Warriors To The Workforce. The event brings together major companies to profile their services and provide employment opportunities for our veterans, transitioning military service members and military spouses. Attending veterans have the chance to talk with employers, submit qualifications and even participate in job interviews on the spot.

An Atlanta Warriors To The Workforce is coming to the Georgia World Congress Center (Booth #2155) on April 29 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and April 30 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in partnership with the Army Aviation Association of America's 2016 Army Aviation Mission Solutions Summit. Attendance is free for all military veterans, service members and spouses, and registration is available at warriorstotheworkforceatl.net.

In addition to the hiring opportunities, Warriors To The Workforce includes presentations from top speakers and workshops on networking and presentation skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, job searching, career planning, translating military skills and training into civilian life and corporate experience. Representatives from event partner Still Serving Veterans will be on hand to offer resume reviews.

Companies participating in the Atlanta Warriors To The Workforce hiring event include Accenture, Airbus Helicopters, Inc., DynCorp International, Erickson, Inc., First Command Financial Services, Heavy Equipment College of Georgia, PHI, SES, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Vinnell Arabia among others. In all, over 30 companies are expected to be on-site with job opportunities for an anticipated 300 + veterans, service members and spouses in attendance.
