What's New In Metro Atlanta? 5 Culinary Businesses To Know

GEORGIA — Fresh out of the oven are new culinary businesses to bring flavor to metro Atlanta.

Whether you are looking to dine in among food lovers, or create your own culinary cuisine in the comfort of your home, these five businesses may satisfy your craving.

Here are five openings to know about:

Heating up Woodstock, Sizzling Spices recently landed in Cherokee County.

According to the City of Woodstock, the fine Indian-inspired eatery opened in September.

The restaurant claimed on its website to be the first of its kind in Woodstock. It is located at 106 Arnold Mill Road, Suite A-1.

"We are passionate about serving our community with authentic flavors that will leave you craving more. We strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a culinary journey through India's rich culinary traditions," the restaurant said on its website.

Sizzling Spices serves paneer pakora, tikka kabobs, curry, chutney, garlic naan, momos, biryani specials, rice pudding and gulab jamun.

Hours of operation: 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4:30-9:30 p.m. daily and closed Tuesday.

Phipps Plaza was recently thrilled to announce the opening of Paradise Grills in Atlanta

Paradise Grills is a manufacturer of luxury outdoor kitchen grill islands and island bars. The new store opened Thursday in between JoJo’s Atelier and House of CB in the mall, 3500 Peachtree Road NE.

"Renowned for the luxury, lifestyle and longevity of its custom grill islands and island bars, the store’s interior features various destination-style outdoor kitchen vignettes inspired by locations such as St. Tropez, Bora Bora, Monaco and the Abaco Islands," read a news release from Phipps.

Paradise Grills offers tiki huts and pergolas, professional grills, bar fridges, wine fridges, ice makers, cocktail stations, entertainment options, patio furniture and fire features.

"Paradise Grills creates customizable outdoor living spaces that turn ordinary backyards into extraordinary staycation destinations," Phipps said on its website.

The store has locations in Kennesaw and Buford.

The third location of C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar is swimming into Brookhaven toward the end of the month.

According to a news release, C&S will open on Oct. 24 in the Alta Porter on Peachtree complex, 3930 Peachtree Road.

The seafood and oyster bar is operated by the C&S Restaurant Group and is owned by Rich Clark and Jonathan Schwenk, according to the release.

C&S has two locations in Sandy Springs and in Cobb County's Vinings community.

"Designed by Peter Zakas of Zspace Design, C&S Brookhaven’s interior carries the classic identity of the Sandy Springs location with a fresh, modern take. Upon entering, guests can expect a suave, inviting atmosphere with eye-catching materials, art deco-inspired tiles, custom lighting and rich green mohair and leather accents," read the release.

The Brookhaven site will feature more than 3,900 square feet of seating in the main dining area, bar and patio. The patio will have a retractable roof, and a live wall from Turkey will hold plants "cultivated exclusively for the restaurant," the release said.

Chargrilled oysters, lobster cobb salad, sous vide octopus, branzino, sea bass, crispy brussel sprouts, broccolini, duck fat roasted fingerlings potatoes, lobster risotto and seafood and andouille gumbo are offered on C&S' menu.

Brunch is served at the Sandy Springs location and will be served in Brookhaven. Executive Chef Zanali Malik will oversee the Brookhaven kitchen.

Hours of operation for Brookhaven: 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday and noon-11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.

Buckhead residents will be able to find Mexican street food at the upcoming Rreal Tacos.

The restaurant's latest site will sit at Buckhead at Tower Place, 3365 Piedmont Road, the former home to Farm Burger. Rreal Tacos-Buckhead is slated to open in spring 2024, according to a news release.

“Atlantans are craving authentic Mexican cuisine in an upscale atmosphere,” co-owner and Chief Executive Officer Damien Otero said in the release. “We have very high standards for our menu and are committed to using the freshest cuts of meat and key ingredients sourced from Mexico.”

The growing eatery recently expanded into Chamblee, Cumming and Sandy Springs and already had locations in Midtown and West Midtown. Rreal Tacos is planning Decatur, Sugar Hill and Lawrenceville sites.

Rreal Tacos serves molletes, elotes, various types of tacos, tortas, burritos, tostadas, quesadillas, quesabirrias, nachos and desserts.

According to the release, the eatery aims to dish out tacos from various regions including "asada from northeastern Monterrey, birria barbacoa from Guadalajara or taco al pastor, one of Mexico City's signature tacos."

Reservations are accepted via OpenTable.

Hours of operation were not immediately available.

NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal's Krispy Kremereopened Tuesday in Midtown after being destroyed in 2021 by arson.

According to a past company release, the popular franchise reopened its historic Ponce de Leon location on a new 4,000-square-foot site.

“We’ll bounce back better than ever," O'Neal said immediately following the fire, according to the release.

The Midtown shop is balanced between modern times and honoring its historical significance, the release said. A Krispy Kreme heritage sign dating back to the 1960s is featured at the shop, the release said.

Krispy Kreme Global Chief Brand Officer Dave Skena said the shop honors a commitment to the local Atlanta community.

“Everyone has been so supportive during our bounce-back process, and we’re thrilled to turn on the Hot Light," Skena said in the release. "Our longstanding presence in Ponce is core to the community. Beginning Oct. 10, delicious, fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts and all the happiness that comes with enjoying and sharing them will be back.”

Menu items include glazed, cake, filled, iced, chocolate and sprinkled doughnuts are offered at Krispy Kreme. Coffees, lattes, cappuccinos, espressos and hot chocolate are also served at the restaurant.

Halloween-inspired doughnuts are available through Oct. 31.

Doughnuts can be purchased in-shop, drive-thru or online. They can also be bought through the Krispy Kreme app for pick-up or delivery.

Throughout grand opening week, Krispy Kreme will randomly award a celebration ticket to 10 dozen guests, the release said. The ticket is worth a dozen free original glazed doughnuts every month for a year.
