Woodward Academy Sixth-Grader Selected for Children’s Congress

Woodward Academy sixth-grader Priya Storey has been selected to represent Georgia as a 2017 Children's Congress Delegate in Washington D.C.

From Woodward Academy: Woodward Academy sixth-grader Priya Storey has been selected to represent Georgia as a 2017 Children's Congress Delegate held July 24-26 in Washington, D.C. Priya will meet face-to-face with some of the top decision-makers in the U.S. government to share her personal story about living with T1D. Priya was selected after writing a letter to her congressman.

Every two years, more than 150 children living with T1D gather in Washington, D.C., to help members of Congress understand what living with T1D is like and how important funding is for life-changing therapies until a cure is found.
