Youth of the Year for Jesse Draper Boys & Girls Club

Nine years ago, Zaria Joseph walked into the Jesse Draper Boys & Girls club as a shy girl who was afraid to interact with people. She quickly learned how to be herself and express her feelings. Now at 16 years of age, after speaking in public forums, empowering her voice and advocating for others, Zaria is not that shy girl anymore. With a core value of caring for all others, Zaria always goes the extra mile to serve at her Club.

At the Jesse Draper Club, Zaria recognizes Mrs. Kaityre mentoring her with insightful advice and consistently providing encouragement. This type of mentorship Zaria hopes to provide to others in the Club as she grows and becomes a voice and advocate.

Zaria has been involved in a number of Boys & Girls Club programs including Career Bound, a program that prepares youth for the challenges of college entry, and Keystone Club for service and leadership.

She hopes to attend Georgia Tech to explore a double major in Computer Science for coding and Psychology to bring arts Psychology.
