Zuri Craig, An 'America's Got Talent' Finalist From Atlanta, Dies
The singer was part of the CraigLewis Band and was featured in multiple Tyler Perry productions.

ATLANTA, GA — Zuri Craig, 44, an "America's Got Talent" 2015 finalist, died Friday, according to a post on Craig's ZoReMi Entertainment Instagram page.
"It is with profound sadness that we announce the transition of our beloved son, brother and friend, Zuri Craig. We thank you in advance for your prayers. Please honor our privacy during this unimaginable time of mourning," the family posted to the account.
Craig was a member of the Atlanta-based CraigLewis Band alongside Jeffery Lewis.

The two received the golden buzzer from judges after singing a rendition of Mary J. Blige's "I'm Goin' Down" during their audition on "America's Got Talent."
E! News reported the CraigLewis Band finished the contest in fifth place.

"On yesterday, I lost my brother, my friend. I am broken, completely devastated. I love you more than words can express. The CraigLewis Band Forever! Rest In Peace My Friend," Lewis posted to Instagram.
According to IMDB, Craig acted in filmographer Tyler Perry's "Madea's Big Happy Family," "A Madea Christmas: The Play" and "Madea Gets a Job: The Play." He also has a musical credit for "Madea Gets a Job."
In April 2011, he appeared on comedian/actress Mo'nique's talk show with his band, according to IMDB.
