Check out the "Vote Lorin" message on the huge electronic sign out at the Gateway development, behind Chick Fil-A and Regional First Care. It's visible from 316 and really quite spectacular!
That area is booming, which is a good thing. I don't think it's a question of "New Winder" vs "Old Winder." I think it's a question of building a healthy Winder.
The types of businesses that are locating at the Gateway are not businesses that would probably locate in downtown Winder. The challenge is to bring businesses that would do well in our downtown to our downtown. It can be done; I believe that.
