• Hall County deputies arrest woman for stealing from 93-year-old (fox5atlanta.com) — Hall County investigators say a 93-year-old Hoschton woman was financially exploited by a longtime friend and caregiver, who is accused of stealing her car and using her bank cards. The Sautee-Nacoochee suspect faces multiple felony charges after deputies recovered the vehicle and other items, and authorities are still determining whether additional victims might be involved.

Boy mourns therapy pig killed by neighbors in east Georgia (wsbtv.com) — A Hoschton family is grieving after their 12-year-old son’s therapy and show pig, Bootsy, was found shot dead near their property, where she had lived in a barn. Jackson County authorities say three nearby neighbors have been arrested and charged with aggravated animal cruelty after allegedly killing the tagged livestock pig, which the family says was clearly identifiable as theirs.
