The eighth annual Digital School Districts Survey puts Barrow County at the top of the list of schools with 12,000 students or more.

The Barrow County School System has been recognized for its use of technology. 

The eighth annual Digital School Districts Survey — conducted by e.Republic's Center for Digital Education, the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and convergemag.com — puts Barrow County at the top of the list of schools with 12,000 students or more. 

The survey showcases exemplary use of technology to govern the school district, communicate with students, parents and the community and to improve district operations, a press release reads. The top rankings reflect those school boards/districts with the fullest implementation of technology benchmarks, as represented in the survey questions.

All U.S. public school districts were eligible to participate in the survey with the three classifications based on size of enrollment.
