Braselton Lays Down the Law Online

In an ongoing effort to live up to the pledge that “It’s Better in Braselton,” the town is continually seeking ways to improve — including updating its user-friendly and informative website.

Featuring everything from a constantly evolving calendar of events and interactive map to a business directory and helpful links, Braselton.net has recently added an easy-to-navigate page devoted to the town’s code of ordinances.

Interested in learning how Braselton’s government is structured? Look no further than Chapter 3, Articles 1 and 2. Want to brush up on uniform rules of the road and traffic control? You’ll find what you’re looking for in Chapter 11.

Prepared April 2011 with amendments through February 2012, the code of ordinances for Braselton highlights mild-mannered topics such as everything you ever wanted to know about town elections and parks and recreation, to more heavy-hitting subjects such as sexually-oriented businesses and a very detailed chapter dedicated to water and sewer. It’s a good read for anyone who ever hoped to learn what constitutes a general offense such as loitering or disorderly conduct, and might help shed some light for entrepreneurs considering establishing a business in the town.
