The Cheer Doggs have ten male cheerleaders, a higher number than any other cheerleading team in the state. That factor benefited the team, since they could increase the intensity of their stunts.

"I really think that they added the excitement to the routine we brought," Hulsey said. "The baskets were higher than anybody else’s. Dancing was phenomenal—you don’t see boys do that. Of course with the difficulty of the stunts, I was able to do those because of the boys."
