Winder Issues Two New Requests for Proposals
Winder City Hall is accepting sealed bids for a renovation design project for the former People's Bank Operations Center and a year-long maintenance contract for Rose Hill Cemetery.

While many families in Barrow County are enjoying the summer hiatus, continues to run full speed ahead. Recently, the city announced on its website new requests for proposals seeking bids for two projects within the county seat.
The first RFP, originally posted May 25, announces the acceptance of sealed proposals from qualified professionals, including architects and engineers, for the renovation design and construction documents for the renovation of an existing building on behalf of the city of Winder. The 23,500-square-foot building is at 25 E. Midland Ave., which served as the former site of the People’s Bank Operation Center. A walk-through of the site — scheduled to take place June 6 — was open to potential bidders. Bids are being accepted at the city clerk’s office inside Winder City Hall until 2 p.m. June 15, 2012. The city will then evaluate all bids received and award the contract based on qualifications, fees and time schedule.
For more information about this project, please view the original Request for Proposal document or call the city clerk’s office at 770-867-3106.
