Barrow County Elections Supervisor Says Polls Have Been Slow

Residents have until 7 p.m. to vote in today's Primary Election.

Turnout at the county's 16 polling locations has been slow,Β Barrow County Elections Supervisor Monica Franklin said.Β 

"It’s steady and not so slow that they’re going to sleep, but they’re saying it is slower than normal," Franklin said.Β 

Polling locations will be open until 7 p.m. for residents to cast their votesΒ

"Based on the numbers that I picked up from all of the managers around 1 o'clock it ranged anywhere from 74 to 310," she added, "of course that was early, mid-day.Β We’re hoping voters will come out after five once they get off work and maybe it will pick up.”
