Donation to Russell Middle School Band by Winder-Barrow Community Theatre

WBCT Donates $1466 to the Russell Middle School Band

Winder-Barrow Community Theatre recently raised money for several scholarship funds with the presentation of β€œHallelujah Girls” at the Winder Cultural Arts Center. Proceeds from this play along with donations from audience members raised over $3000 for several scholarship programs that WBCT supports.

A check was presented to the Russell Middle School Band in order to help pay for several students to attend Encore Band Camp during the summer through the John Hasty Scholarship Fund. This special camp is for 6th and 7th graders who will be returning to the RMS band program in the fall.

The other scholarships funded by this show included 20 tuition scholarships for Boys and Girls Club students to attend Drama Camp in the summer of 2016 as well as a high school fine arts scholarship to be awarded in the spring.
