The Athens Community Council on Aging (ACCA) will be holding a luncheon for those in the Winder-Barrow community that are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s Disease or other related dementias. The meeting will be on the third floor conference room at Barrow Regional Medical Center, 316 N. Broad Street in Winder on Tuesday, August 23, 2011.
Speaking at the luncheon will be Melany Sattler, Director of Education from the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. She will be speaking on the basics of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias.
Athens Community Council on Aging holds these luncheons to provide caregivers with fellowship with fellow caregivers, participate in educational programs, and open discussions about questions they may have about a loved one and their care.
