Classical Guitar Concert

Playing as solo artists, Corey and Ryan are giving their first public concert at 106 West. The concert will feature a broad range of musical styles, from romantic turn of the century to modern pieces, most composed specifically for the classic style of guitar - that is, nylon strings plucked with the fingers rather than a pick, and melody, harmony, bass line and rhythm played on a single instrument all at once!

Corey and Ryan received their Master's of Music Degrees at UGA while studying with the esteemed John Sutherland (student of the legendary Andres Segovia, world master guitarist and father of the modern style of classical guitar).

Corey is studying in the doctoral program in classical guitar
under John Sutherland at UGA; Ryan teaches guitar and ear training at Truett-McConnell College.

Both guitarists are instructors of music at 106 West.

Tickets are $10 at the door or $8 when purchased in advance on or before June 7th, at 106 West. Call 770-868-1977 to purchase by credit card for will call or come by the music school between 3pm and 9pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
