Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident Reported on Ga. 316

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office says a fatal multi-vehicle accident closed a section of Ga. 316 in Barrow County Wednesday afternoon.

“There is at least one fatality at this point,” the department posted on Facebook after 2 p.m.

The accident at Ga. 316 westbound and Patrick Mill Road involved two commercial vehicles and a passenger vehicle, the post said.

The department said a second accident in the eastbound lanes of Ga. 316 necessitated closing the road for safety reasons.

Westbound 316 was closed from Hwy 81 to Patrick Mill, and the eastbound lanes were closed at Patrick Mill Road.
