Former Winder-Barrow Junior ROTC Commander Fired
The U.S. Army Cadet Command in Fort Knox has since launched an investigation.
The Athens Banner-Herald reports Senior Army Instructor Maj. Thomas Evans has been fired from his position at Winder-Barrow High School. Evans helped launch the school’s Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps program.

The Banner-Herald reports a “Concerned Citizen” from Hoschton has created an anonymous petition in support of Evans on the website www.change.org.
