Grand Jury Indicts Husband Charged with Killing Mother of Four

The Athens Banner-Herald reports James Lynn Jr. has been indicted by a Barrow County grand jury.

A Barrow County grand jury has indicted the estranged husband of Tonya Faye Royster Lynn in her murder, the Athens Banner-Herald reports.

James Lynn Jr. was indicted Monday afternoon on charges of malice murder, felony murder and aggravated assault.

Police arrested James Lynn, 42, in late July after Tonya Lynn’s niece reported her missing.

The Banner-Herald reports that during interviews with police investigators, James Lynn allegedly lied about the night of Lynn’s disappearance but later told them — in a well off of Ethridge Road near Auburn. An autopsy revealed she died from a blow to the head.
