Apparently, changes in the Piedmont Regional Library system would've resulted in some drastic budget cuts at the Winder Library.
However, at their meeting tonight, the Winder City Council voted to spend $30,000 to help fund the library.
Not everyone uses the library, but for the people who do, like some of my GED students, it's a wonderful and much needed resource.
Thanks, Winder, for stepping up to help support local literacy!
