Local Students Graduate from Online Degree Programs

Several local students have graduated from online degree programs through Kaplan University.

The following local students have been awarded degrees.

• Dara Godwin of Bethlehem, associate of applied science in business administration
• David Pina of Winder, associate of applied science in information technology
• Marco Olivero of Winder, associate of applied science in criminal justice
• Anthony Groffices of Winder, associate of applied science in criminal justice
• Lawanda Thomas of Auburn, bachelor of science in health sciences

Kaplan University's summer 2011 class included more than 7,200 graduates who earned associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, all online. More than 1,000 graduates traveled from around the country to attend the ceremony, meeting face-to-face for the first time. Others watched from home via a live webcast.
