Pick up a Free Comic Book Saturday at the Winder Library

The first Saturday in the month of May is a special day for comic book fans — Free Comic Book Day. 

While free comics are typically given away by comic book stores, the has jumped on the bandwagon. Barrow County residents are invited to pick up a free comic book during library hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The first Free Comic Book Day event was held in 2002, and thousands of shops around the world have given away millions of free comic books to readers.
