Proposed Budget for City of Winder Available for Public Review

Two public hearings to receive public comment on the budget are scheduled for May 17 and 24.

The city of Winder has made its proposed 2012-13 budget available to residents. 

Residents can weigh in on the proposed budget during the first of two public hearings that will be hosted by the city. The first hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the . 

A second public hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 24, also at the Winder Community Center.

The city council is set to vote on the proposed budget during its regular business meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 5. 

The city estimates total expenditures for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, at $25,437,700 and revenues at $28,904,900.
