Special Guest Canine to Attend Auburn Festival for Dogs

A retired military dog wounded on assignment will make a special appearance at the "For the Love of Dogs" festival this weekend.

A Belgian Malinois named Marcos who was wounded during his assignment as a dog soldier in Afghanistan will be a special guest at this weekend's , the reports. 

On Saturday, April 28, local dogs are asked to bring their favorite two-legged friends to downtown Auburn for a fun-filled, fido-focused festival.

Hosted by the Auburn Downtown Development Authority, the third annual installment of the “For the Love of Dogs” event promises to be bigger and better than ever before. The tail-wagging whimsy kicks off at 10 a.m. next to Auburn City Hall and lasts until 4 p.m.
