"Our voters are not informed and the apathy they have for our government is disappointing.” Mr. Dixon was quoted by one local paper as saying that on election night.
The next morning, according to the other paper, Mr. Dixon “applauded the more than 750 residents who voted when there was only one council post at stake.”
The voter turnout was 12%, which while nothing to crow about, is higher than the turnout in 2009, when Mr. Dixon was elected. And, does anyone remember when the last runoff was in Winder politics? I'm thinking not since I’ve been here and that’s 24 years.

I’m calling Winder voters enthusiastic and informed. If they weren’t, we wouldn’t be in this runoff.
Mr. Dixon is calling for a debate. I’m all for it. With this type of verbal flip-flop, a debate might be not only informative, but entertaining.
