Why can't we do this in Winder?!?! Or, perhaps the better question is, why AREN'T we doing this is Winder?!?! Why aren't we having a political debate or forum???
The best way to meet the candidates directly and to assess their ability to serve successfully as a member of City Council is a debate!
While I appreciate the opportunity to respond, in writing, to questions from the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce, this isn't the most effective means of assessing the candidates' ability to serve as a member of the City Council! The Council does not respond to their constituents or debate issues that arise in Council meetings and work session in writing--they do so verbally!
Would you like to hear from the candidates directly? Do you have questions of your own you would like to ask? Do you think it's interesting that a debate hasn't been organized? Is it possible someone is trying to keep the opponents from being heard?
Please help me advocate for a debate or Q&A session that would include all three candidates for the At Large position of Winder City Council!
Truthfully, if I wasn't a candidate I would organize it myself!
