Winder Council to Discuss Juvenile Curfew
The curfew would prohibit juveniles from loitering, wandering, strolling or playing in or upon public places, establishments or vacant property unsupervised from midnight to 6 a.m.

Members of the Winder City Council are set to discuss a proposed ordinance implementing a curfew for juveniles during tonight's work session.
The curfew would prohibit those 16 and younger from loitering, wandering, strolling or playing in or upon public places, establishments or vacant property in the city unsupervised between the hours of midnight and 6 a.m.
A curfew was . City Administrator Donald Toms presented a rough draft of the ordinance, which has been finalized and is set to come before the council for a vote during Tuesday's regular business meeting.

The ordinance would also prohibit owners, operators and employees of local establishments from knowingly allowing a juvenile to violate the curfew.
First offenses would result in a warning for citation, and subsequent offenses would result in the filing of a juvenile court complaint and a fine for the parent, guardian, business owner, operator or employee.
