Winder Issues Request for Bid for Water System Improvements

Sealed bids for a major downtown infrastructure project will be accepted through May 3, 2012.

On March 28, the city of Winder issued its most recent request for bids.

Targeted at improving the city’s downtown water system, this latest project is open to contractors who hold a Georgia’s contractor license of the proper classification that is in full force and effect, in compliance with O.C.G.A. 43. 14. Click here to view minimum construction standards.

Sealed bids will be accepted by City Clerk Gloria Andrews at Winder City Hall until 2 p.m. May 3, 2012. Bids will then be read aloud at 2:30 p.m. that same day at the Winder Community Center. Bidding and contract documents are available for download online at the city of Winder website or by clicking here.

Work will consist of furnishing of all materials and equipment, as well as performance of all labor necessary to construct downtown water system improvements, including all associated structural and mechanical components. Project will also entail site work, wastewater equipment and any other items required to provide a complete project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Click here to view downtown water system improvements construction plans.
