Brookhjaven's Caroline Bearden has graduated from Eckerd College, which is located in St. Petersburg, Fla.
She is one of 540 graduates in the class of 2012.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development during Eckerd College's commencement ceremonies on May 20. Dr. Sylvia Earle, National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence, oceanographer and author, was the keynote speaker.
