Governor Nathan Deal is in the process of appointing a commission of five people that will in turn review and select four individuals who will serve as interim city manager, attorney, clerk and accountant until the mayor and city council are elected later this year. A lot of people have asked what is going on with the Governor's Commision so I called the governor’s office today to find out more info. The Governor is actively interviewing and vetting candidates and his current plan is to have the commission appointed by September 1st.
