Trash rates to go up 15%, or cut collection in half!

So my wife sends me this link to vote on a 15% increase in the rate charged for trash pick-up, or keep the same rate and reduce pick-up from twice each week to once each week. Where is the choice to get bids from independent trash companies instead of using the county? I hope this makes all you city folk happy!
