As a way to recognize and thank veterans for their dedication and commitment to service, the AARP Driver Safety Program is offering a free classroom course to all veterans and their spouses during the month of November (so long as they present a valid form of military id).
The class, hosted by Chamblee Parks & Recreation, will be
held at the Keswick Park Community Building at 3496 Keswick Drive on Thursday, November 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Topics covered during this course include:
Defensive drive techniques, new traffic laws and rules of the road. How to deal with aggressive drivers. How to use anti-lock brakes, air bags and safety belts.
Many insurance companies offer a discount on your premium after successful completion of the course. The course fee for those other than veterans is $14 or $12 for AARP members.
Register by calling 770-986-5016.
