African Film Festival

9-10am:  Thomas Sankara is the story of the charismatic army captain who came to power in Burkina Faso in 1983. (France, 2006, Director: Robin Suffield, French with English subtitles).

11am-12pm:  Ainsi meurent les anges (And So Angels Die) is the story of an African youth trying to invent a genuine African present. The first African feature shot with DV8 technology. (Senegal, 2002, French and Wolof with English subtitles).

1-3pm:  Tsotsi is about the quest for a fast life and easy money in Johannesburg forces a young man to decide between self destruction and his own humanity. (UK and South Africa, 2005, Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film, Director: Gavin Hood, Zulu, Xhosa and Afrikaans with English subtitles)
